TicTac Posted March 15 Posted March 15 (edited) Inspired by RedK0d's Clickable-FC3 mod, this aims to add basic clickable functionality to all Flaming Cliffs aircraft in DCS, including FC24, with a later goal being to enhance some of it where possible. Basic support meaning you can trigger most keybinds by clicking an appropriate part of the cockpit, but with no added features. All aircraft and their level of support are listed below: A-10A: Basic F-5E: Basic F-15C: Basic F-86: Basic MiG-15bis: Basic MiG-29: Basic SU-25A: Waiting for update from ED SU-25T: Waiting for update from ED SU-27 / J-11A: Basic SU-33: Basic Installation Download the latest Release version from GitHub Copy the FC-Clickable-Cockpits-Continued folder to your %UserProfile%/Saved Games/DCS/Mods/tech/ directory, NOT to your DCS installation directory You may need create this directory if it doesn't already exist Check for an FC Clickable Cockpits menu under Options > Special If installed correctly, you should see that menu with options to enable or disable the mod for each aircraft Troubleshooting If you're in a supported aircraft and can't click anything: Try pressing your bind for "Force cursor to show" (default LCTRL+C) Check that it's enabled in the FC Clickable Cockpits Options menu Still having trouble? Please post here and I'll try to help Think something is broken due to a DCS update or bad release? Report it on GitHub Original CLICKABLE-FC3 mod RedK0d's original mod was a big help in getting me into DCS and combat flight sims, it bridged a very important gap between the FC aircraft and the much more expensive, and difficult to learn, full-fidelity aircraft that the game is known for. Simply being able to interact with each jet in a more natural way made the game so much more enjoyable to me, and so much easier to get accustomed to. Unfortunately, RedK0d hasn't been active on Discord, Youtube, or GitHub in a while, and even before the release of FC24 there were some compatibility issues with the mod as ED updates older cockpit models in the game. Because of that, I wanted to take over maintaining the mod. Due to a lack of license on the original CLICKABLE-FC3, though, I have had to rebuild it from scratch. If you're looking for RedK0d's original mod, you can find the github repo here, and their Gumroad page here. malarcky Posted March 22 Posted March 22 Very nice iniciative, would love to see the Su-25 added soon, thanks for the effort.
TicTac Posted March 23 Author Posted March 23 I want to wait for the SU-25A update that ED is working on in case it changes anything in the cockpit or behavior, but if I finish the rest of FC3 / 24 I'll definitely move on to the SU-25A and T 1
Jabeitor Posted March 24 Posted March 24 Thank you very much TicTac for bringing us this very useful mod for FC, this way we save having to memorize endless combinations of controls in HOTAS, something inconsistent with the simplicity we are looking for in FC modules, in which I would suggest ED to keep the ability to click limited controls in the cockpit. 1 1
cuervo111 Posted March 25 Posted March 25 Really cool stuff! Looking forward to see progess. Thanks for that! 1 DCS Rosetta, my automatic DCS mission and campaign translator: https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=233877
II.JG1_Vonrd Posted March 26 Posted March 26 Looking forward to the fully capable version (all FC aircraft). Does RedK0d's original mod still work? 1

I believe so, but it has some issues with the A-10A and the F-15C is hard to get working. And no FC24 support, of course. 1
TicTac Posted March 30 Author Posted March 30 Just finished adding support for the F-86 and MiG-15, would have had it out sooner but work's been really busy. Hoping to get the MiG-29 variants and the SU-27 done in the next few weeks, if I finish all of those then I'll do the SU-25 based on current models but I'm hoping that ED releases their update for it first. 2 3
TicTac Posted May 10 Author Posted May 10 The MiG-29 update is ready, you can download it here: https://github.com/TicTac-93/FC-Clickable-Cockpits-Continued/releases/tag/v0.3.0 This aircraft has a lot more going on than the previous ones, so there may be bugs. If you find anything let me know! You can post here for support, or open an issue on the GitHub This took much longer than I wanted (over a month!) but only because I haven't had enough free time to work on the mod. There aren't any major roadblocks in the way of the remaining aircraft, and I'll continue working towards a 1.0 release with all FC aircraft supported. 6 3
unmar Posted May 12 Posted May 12 Thanks for your work! FC3/4 aircraft will become more popular with the release of the Cold War Germany map... and so will your mod. 2
TicTac Posted Tuesday at 02:51 AM Author Posted Tuesday at 02:51 AM The Su-27 / Su-33 are now supported! You can download the update here: https://github.com/TicTac-93/FC-Clickable-Cockpits-Continued/releases/tag/v0.4.0 All that's left for full support is the Su-25A and T, some of my favorite aircraft in the FC pack. I was hoping ED would release their updated model by now, but I'll get started on the existing one now. 4 3
Negativghostrdr Posted Tuesday at 01:23 PM Posted Tuesday at 01:23 PM Just purchased Flaming Cliffs 2024. This is going to be awesome! Very excited! Do you play using a VR headset? I am using Quest 3. This is a really big deal for VR players because it's really awkward and completely breaks the immersion having to hunt for keyboard keys for functions we don't use a whole lot-but when you need em' you NEED em'. Thanks again TicTac!
TicTac Posted Wednesday at 02:52 PM Author Posted Wednesday at 02:52 PM @Negativghostrdr I don't play in VR, I just don't like having to memorize key binds haha. Totally agree that it's easier to remember where something is in a fight than what it's bound to. Hope this works well for you, and enjoy the FC planes!
