Good morning everyone.

I've been having spikes and CPU BOUND for a while. I can't figure out why, as it does it in some servers, in others it doesn't. As a result, I notice that the CPU suffers and the PC becomes very slow (even doing ALT -TAB doesn't solve anything). I tried Process Lasso, using the P-Core, but nothing. I also use Park Control, setting all the P-CORE, but the situation doesn't change.

How can I solve it?

My Specs:

I5-14600KF

64GB Ram G.Skill @ 3200Mh

1 TB SSD M.2

Nvidia Geforce RTX 3060Ti 8Gb

Pico 4 VR

Virtual Desktop Setting:

Godlike - 75 MBps

Attach your dcs.log file here as well. C:\Users\username\Saved Games\DCS\Logs\dcs.log (may just be a text document named "dcs" if Windows is hiding file extensions).

Also when you say you use Park Control you are using this to unpark your cores? What Windows version as well?

AMD 7800x3D, 4080Super, 64Gb DDR5 RAM, 4Tb NVMe M.2, Quest 2

Here log. I use park control (bitsum) to unpark all my core. I use Windows 11 Latest version.

Hello, can someone help me? I also disabled the E-Core from BIOS, but nothing, it always gives me CPU BOUND.

Disabling the E-Cores is not recommended on Win11, as the Core allocation should work fine by the time. You just loose overall performance.

As speaking for the CPU-Bound in DCS FPS Monitor, as long as you are „Yellow“ CPU bound, everything is fine. If it becomes „Red“, you are CPU limited.

In VR you never get GPU Bound. It has something to do how the VR Render Pipeline works, but maybe someone could correct me if I am wrong.

Thank's. So you're telling me that this is okay?

Can you raise your pagefile to 30gb and see if it is smoother?

I have a 12600kf and haven't needed to unpark any core. 30gb on pagefile, 64gb system ram. All smooth.

I am surprised that you can run vr at all given your headset, GPU and settings. I can't quite see your fps and latencies on the images you have posted. What are you managing to achieve in a typical scenario? Are you using FFR?

9800x3d - rtx5080 FE - 64Gb RAM 6000MHz - 2Tb NVME - Quest Pro (previous rift s and Pico 4). Afghanistan – Channel – Cold War Germany - Kola - Normandy 2 – Persian Gulf - Sinai - Syria - South Atlantic. BF-109 - FW-190 A8 - F4 - F5 - F14 - F16 - F86 - I16 - Mig 15 - Mig 21 - Mosquito - P47 - P51 - Spitfire.

I don't use FFR, I use Quad View Companion app. In a typical scenario I get 60-70 FPS with frametime 14-20. FPS is great, but it's not smooth for frametime

That's what I meant. What QVFR settings are you using? I've been experimenting with various QVFR and DCS settings recently and you could significantly reduce your GPU frametimes if you reduce the visibility range to Medium and reduce the details sliders. It also helps with VRAM.

These are my settings. What do you mean by reducing the detail settings? I increased the Pages File and it improved a bit.

Also is it normal that when I play the PC doesn't work at all? That is, it's slow and I can't use other programs

I am just working on some VR benchmarks and I will post the results which relate to this soon so you can see what the potential impact of various DCS setting are.

Hi,

things to check.

Make sure you are not using core parking or any CPU adjustments.

Disable hot plug in dcs controls.

Check mouse polling rate is not to high.

check disks are not full

exempt DCS from antivirus scans

If you still have issues attach your dcs log and dxdiag

I'm not sure. It would be worth looking at your performance using CPU-Z or similar.

I downloaded CPU-Z, what should I do? It usually happens with the Sinai map, online. Yesterday on Syria server never a problem

I followed everything, the problem remains. I attach the DCS log. Where can I find the DXDIAG log?
