Not a Pound for Air to Ground's excellent history of the F-100s, one of the few times a youtuber has made an objectively outstanding piece of documentary work. He has embeds disabled on some, but they're worth the click.

F-100 demonstrating the Zero Length Launch system or "Zell". Both the US and USSR experimented with both this concept and the parasite fighter or FICON concept. The USAF actually deployed FICON B-36 and RF-84Ks for a little under a year but never deployed any units with ZLL. As I understand it, the USSR deployed actual ZLL units in a similarly limited capacity and with the MiG-19, which the Hun was frequently compared to.

The 188th TFS (Now 188th Rescue Squadron) of the New Mexico Air National Guard (NMANG) deployed to Tuy Hoa, Vietnam.

The 188th stands in as MiGs in Skyjacked. Their SEATO camo even kind of fills the part for the VVS' own camo patterns. Pretty great air to air cinematography, as well.
