zippydoda Posted March 18 Posted March 18 (edited) I'm setting up a Tobii for DCS starting with the A-10C II, and having one issue after another. But it is finally working, sort of, however when I rotate my head to either side the HMD symbology only moves slightly to the right or left - it never fully moves to the side, meaning staying in the enter of field of vision. I'm not doing anything unusual in terms of Tobii configuration. Edited March 18 by zippydoda
450Devil Posted March 18 Posted March 18 I have the Tobii ET5. I have the same issue with the HMD seeming to be restricted in the arc it can traverse when I turn my head. I think it is a function of where the game sets the pilot head and the difference in position of the player's head. What I have found helps somewhat is to move my head forward and then turn either left or right. That seems to increase the available arc but it is not a complete solution. If you find a better solution please post it.
zippydoda Posted March 18 Author Posted March 18 (edited) Will do. I've tried messing with Tobii settings and it doesn't make much of a difference. I tried your technique as well and not much there either. In order to get the tracker to work at all I have to start up the Opentrack app, then START the tracking, then stop the tracking within the app. Then it works. If I leave it as started theres all kinds of weird stuttering, ghosting, jittering etc. I've spent two days getting the Tobii tracker working, and its still not there. The other thing is that the Mouse freeview or whatever doesn't work with Tobii running. So you can't use the mouse to move the view, even if the tracking is paused. I may go back to TrackIR which has no issues if memory serves. This are too many limitations and weird happening with Tobii. Edited March 18 by zippydoda
450Devil Posted March 18 Posted March 18 While I claim no expertise in setting up and using Tobii ET5, I do not use Opentrack. My Tobii is set to Autostart with Windows in background (attached is a screenshot of my Tobii settings).
