5800X3D -> 9800X3D with RTX 4080 in 2D, anybody?

Hi folks,

again the itching in my fingers started and it might be time for an upgrade. Let me explain the current situation. I´m all fine with my setup, most of the times can run DCS without issues. Coming from the 5800X, I already saw a slight improvement by upgrading to the 5800X3D I have today. In smaller SP missions the GPU is utilized by 100%, so it is the "weak point" at that times. When flying on a crowded MP server like 4YA, the GPU only shows a utilization of appr. 60-70%, so I believe there is some room for improvement, as I fly mostly MP.

Does anybody have some experience with this CPU (5800X3D -> 9800X3D) and platform (AM4 -> AM5, DDR4 -> DDR5) upgrade and can share some results?
