If use the integrated its’s to stiff. How do you guys set up the stick for like the kiowa or huey? You have to enable telemetry to get the effects DCS doesn't have out of the box.

Combined with my virpil stick and extensions I have a huge amount of travel, great for flying helicopters. I never flown a real helicopter in real life but I have flown glider planes and small ultralights (they use a cable setup, and have little to no tension). I googled a bit on how a stick should be on a hydraulic powered helicopter and they state almost no tension. If a use the direct input I get no to little friction but I lose the cool stuff like machine gun rumble and rocket kick back. If use the integrated its’s to stiff. How do you guys set up the stick for like the kiowa or huey? I enjoy flying the huey without any force trim (unless shooting at stuff). I'm certainly not saying the below settings are accurate to the huey, but just how i enjoy them Joystick - I use some damper, a tiny bit of centre spring to stop the stick drifting when it's tilted right over. I add some Main Rotor shake, vortex ring state shake and translational lift shake. Rudder and Collective - I add damping, Main Rotor shake, some vortex ring state shake and translational lift shake. I don't use any force trim on these at all. p.s to disable force trim on the rudders and pedals, I need to use the ffbeast "Direct X effect" parameters turned down, otherwise their force trim turns on along with the joystick, when turning it on via the switch on the huey centre console. I've been using your moza profile, cheers.
Dogmanbird Posted April 2 Posted April 2 if it was specifically a moza profile, it might have been someone else's post you're thinking of, but glad you got use from it
Andrew u.k. Posted April 2 Author Posted April 2 Yes, my mistake, it was a chp called Doogie. But he also flies with force trim off. 2
