That mode forces the plane into a 5nm boresight dogfight AA setting. Also, the setting you are talking about is for telling Jester the preferred scope setting for a standard scan situation. Not for other situations, such as wheb you already have a bandit focused. In that case Jester will always adjust the scope accordingly to the focused bandit. If you dont want that you first have to defocus the bandit.
mytai01 Posted April 13 Author Posted April 13 The instructions say that you can cancel CAGE mode by turning the Weapons Selector Knob to the "B" position. However, when I do that the RIO stays in the 5 mile radar range. I don't have any targets locked or focused on. I still have potential threats out over 50 miles, but RIO still stays at the 5 mile range and never goes back to 50... Possibly due to a bind conflict, Ive seen that a couple of times already.Otherwise, I would suggest you press Context Action twice and pay attention to what Jester says. You can also deactivate AUTOFOCUS in the Jester Wheel (Radar) to rule that out as factor.Hard to guess whats going on. A track would tell instantly if you can share one.
