Hello everyone

I can't see the wood for the trees right now.

I want to place an AI airplane on an airfield so that it is visible from the start, but only becomes active when a certain condition is met and flies to a waypoint.

With “late activation” this works in principle - but then the aircraft is only spawned when it is activated and is not visible beforehand.

For ships there is the option “visible before activation” - this is exactly what I am looking for, but for an airplane on an airfield.

Is there a workaround or trick for this?

Use the "uncontrolled" tickbox paired together with "push Task".

And in the trigger list:

If you set it up that way, you can have an aircraft group visible on the ramp without them starting up.

Demo Using a Helicopter

Here is a simple mission ( caucasus with no mods) that uses a default helicopter.

1. on the ground engine off

2. After 20 seconds theres a time more trigger AI push start

 starts up about 1m 40 sec

 takes off about 3m 47 sec
