rhoady Posted April 11 Posted April 11 I'm not sure if this is a DCS issue or Syria issue, but I noticed that when tanks are in the revetments/dugouts on Syria, they won't engage, and tanks near them won't engage them. I saw that they track the targets but don't fire on anything. I also noticed this issue with the 2SAP mod revetments, so I believe that it might be a DCS issue.
rob10 Posted April 11 Posted April 11 If you include a track file of this happening you're much more likely to get a meaningful response. Without it there are so many possible variables that it's nearly impossible to recreate it exactly. My other question would be what MODS of ANY type to you have installed? They can cause issues with things that seem completely unrelated. 1

rhoady Posted May 2 Author Posted May 2 Here's a test mission I made. You can see that the tanks don't engage from behind the cover until the moving tank is around the cover basically, and the moving tank doesn't even see the enemy tanks. Is that intentional? Tank Test 1.miz

Tank Test 1.miz 9.55 kB · 0 downloads The covers are clearly too high for MBTs. They either can't see over or even move the turret (you might have put one of them too far forward). rhoady Posted May 4 Author Posted May 4 Okay that makes sense, but what I'm saying (maybe what I would like to see too) is that they used to be able to shoot over/through those covers, and tanks could see them and engage them when behind those covers. I'm not sure what happened but that doesn't happen anymore, which kind of makes the tank covers pointless no?
draconus Posted May 5 Posted May 5 Imho simulation is better when the cover blocks visibility and gun fire, it's more realistic than acting as invisible. Win10 i7-10700KF 32GB RTX4070S Quest 3 T16000M VPC CDT-VMAX TFRP FC3 F-14A/B F-15E CA SC NTTR PG Syria
Priest Posted yesterday at 05:22 AM Posted yesterday at 05:22 AM Could lay down some static objects to give the tank a little boost. "M92 Pile of Woods" under structures works ok-ish it gets the M-60 just high enough to fire over the lower points of the berm. 1
