wraith444 Posted April 18 Posted April 18 I generally prefer to keep a handful of things (CMDS manual programs for example) pretty much the same from one mission to the next, so with that in mind it would be nice to save my personal preferences for those kinds of things to a DTC file that can be used in all missions, regardless of whether the mission maker adds it to the mission file in advance, or can be used to quickly populate partitions in the manual DTC editor that comes up when you pull up the DTC interface. 2
itn Posted April 18 Posted April 18 In case you didnt’t know: The FILE on top of DTC interface is a menu button. Click on it and you can export a DTC file, which you can then similarly import later in any mission from the FILE menu. I agree these should be available automatically in the same way loadouts are, instead of having to import the file every time. 1
Solution darkman222 Posted April 18 Solution Posted April 18 (edited) Yes the process is bothersome. Of course its the initial release. But quick and easy access to the DTC feature is needed. Otherwise people will soon abandon it continue 3rd party external software that has been around and used for quite some time now. I made a mock up how that menu could look like in this thread: Edited April 18 by darkman222

Like say I want to use my own custom DTC to configure my countermeasures on a public server... From what I saw when I was playing around with it yesterday, the only options in the in-game DTC interface are the cartridges made available by the mission maker.

See the screenshot in darkman222's message above. The "FILE" text is a menu so just click on it to open. It's confusing everyone . You can just join a MP server, open DTC, edit it as you want. Then from FILE->Export the DTC file. Next time you connect to a server, open DTC and FILE-Import. 1

Oh, I see now! When I checked last time I didn't even see the "File" button so when I looked at Darkman222's screenshot I thought it was from the mission editor... Thank you both for your help, that does exactly what I was hoping for!
darkman222 Posted April 19 Posted April 19 It takes way too long, for quick action servers, or single player missions. I made a mock up menu for how it could be simplified. No reaction of anybody yet though.
