Hi @IronMike,

Now, when the Jester is open for our scripting ambitions, would it be possible to publish the sources of official scriptis as example and support for better understanding the possiblities?

In the manual, there's link to the GitHub page mentioned as dedicated place for such examples and modders to share mods, but so far it's still "the page we're not looking for", and the current examples from manual to some (like me) may seem a bit too modest...

Or perhaps there's another already active place for such purposes that I am not aware of, that some good soul could point me to?

The repo is currently private but will go public soon after Cobra figured out some last legal topics. It contains all the source files.

@Zabuzard Just checking back in on this. Really excited to start making my own mods, but trying to figure things out without examples is a headache.

Even if the Jester source code stays hidden for now, it would still be very helpful to have a central place for people to share code and collaborate.

Thanks!

It wont stay hidden. The central place will be the repo. Hopefully soon, fingers crossed.

Does Jester Modding even work? I have tried the example mod, downloaded some simple ones and nothing. I don't even see the allow jester mods in the mission builder using the f4e! What am I not understanding about jester mods in the F4E.

It does work and that setting should be in your Mission Editor. Either you are looking at the wrong spot or your are on an old DCS version :)

nullYeah I don't know. I should be at the latest version.

The mod files are in the directory F:\Users\USERNAME\Saved Games\DCS_F4E\jester\mods.

I've opened the console for jester and can issue commands but other than that I haven't been able to use the mods feature. Even if I enable the generated example mod. I'm using the steam version of DCS could that be a problem? Thanks for the reply! null
