Selecting difficulty level on the map screen

Hi all,

The Beauvais CAS mission starts paused and tells you to select a difficulty level on the map screen. I click F10 for the map screen, but I cannot find how to select difficulty level once I'm there. If relevant I am using VR so I am very unfamiliar with the keyboard controls; apologies if non-VR players find the answer to be obvious; the map screen certainly doesn't have any on-screen buttons for selecting difficulty level.

I've searched the forums to no avail - all hints very gratefully received!

You need to follow the briefing instructions as it states F10 Comms Menu which is automatically opened for you during that mission. I hope that helps. Cheers.

like SUNTSAG said you need to press the Comms key which is mapped by default to \ key on your keyboard (or you can change it in the 'assign controls'). The F10 selection will appear in there as per screenshot.

Hint for the future:   all maps, missions, MP servers, utilize this Comms menu and F1 through F12 for mission customization, target selection, etc. It is a seriously archaic interface and the most confusing for the newcomers, but it is for it is. Maybe one day ED will add something more modern that's actually easy to use and understand...
