Hi community,

I seem to be having an issue when trying to download trial modules. I *think* I know what the cause is, because I had a similar issue (I think) a couple of years ago, but I thought that ED had resolved it for me. Anyway, firstly a description of the actual problem itself:

I go through the usual logging in process, and attempt to download a trial, but it will never accept the code that the Google Authenticator gives to me.

I think the problem is this: I seem to have two accounts here at ED, one in an email addressed as: @bigpond.com and another listed as: @yahoo.com.
My Google authenticator is linked (or so I believe) to the Yahoo address. So I guess that one of my accounts here at ED will probably have to be removed? I don't mind whatever has to be deleted or reset.

Only other thing that I can think of is perhaps my phone is getting its wires crossed because I also have the Microsoft Authenticator installed. But, that one is tied into my work system access.

Would love any help or advice that can be given, many thanks in advance,

Andrew.

Basically you can't log in? Tried your other account?

You just enable the trial, and then it will be downloaded through the game itself.

Just try the other account. If that still doesn't work, you need to contact support from the email addresses you registered with, and they can probably turn off 2FA on both, and you can start over.

No, as long as you have linked 2FA to one or the other you can only get codes from one. Your phone doesn't care.

Do you use Google's for anything else but DCS? Have support remove 2FA on both accounts and start over with the one you want to use. Use Microsoft's, you don't need to use Google's. Get rid of it.

Cheers!

Many thanks MAXsenna, appreciate your advice. I'll get onto that tomorrow.

Kind regards,
