  1. Hi community, At the moment I'm using a Saitek X52 Pro as the default controller for my simulators. I've tried some custom configurations of my own, and at the moment I have "Rotary 2" on the throttle quadrant set for my "Cockpit View Zoom", however I'm getting lots and lots of stutters with this, and views moving in and out without any input from me. I've seen online that this appears to be a known issue, but my setup is still in excellent condition, and I don't have this issue with any other simulators. I've tried adjusting deadzones etc, but this seems to make no difference. Does anybody have a workaround for this please? Or do I have to buy a new controller? Was hoping to buy Tobii eye tracker just for DCS soon. Many thanks, Andrew.
  2. Not a bug or anything, just a question for a beginner like me. I've realized that the reason I'm not picking up the flying too well, is because I'm *probably* trying to learn too much at once. I have quite a few modules installed at the moment. Yesterday, I disabled a large percentage of modules, leaving myself 3 aircraft to learn. Please note, I disabled these, I did not remove them. But I have a couple of questions about this too please: 1. Will those disabled aircraft (such as the MiG-29) still show up as AI enemies? 2. When I get around to reinstalling these aircraft again, will I need to redo all of the controller configurations for my X52 Pro again? Many thanks, Andrew.
  3. Rudel, I thank you so much for your reply. I did not think of the clickable cockpit mod having a conflict. I'll remove that today and try the install again. Once again, thank you, advice is very much appreciated. Andrew.
  4. Hi Community, Sorry, new user here. I'm wondering if the Harrier / Mirage 200 / Tornado mods are not compatible with the newest version of the sim? I've tried to follow the instructions here, and I'm getting the aircraft, they are working, but I seem to have 2 types of cockpit merged into one on all of the aircraft. I realize I'm probably doing something wrong, but are there any detailed instructions on how to do this? Also, for clarity (after reading through this forum) I do not have FC3, but I do have DCS with all of the FC3 aircraft modules that I purchased afterwards. Is that the cause? Many thanks to all for any advice. Andrew.
  5. Thank you, awesome help once again for a dumb beginner like me This sim is absolutely awesome!
  6. So in the root level of "Saved Games" the only folder below that is DCS.openbeta? Looks like as I suspected, nested folders, but not sure I should move and overwrite. I have a couple of duplicates, and the folders all have the same modify date. Please note this is only in the Saved Games folder, and not DCS itself.
  7. Are you experiencing the same issue as me Baldrick? Thanks
  8. Appreciate the advice, and follow what you are saying. But my add on A-4 is still not visible in the sim. They say that a picture is worth a thousand words, so I will display my directory structure. Thanks again for your help
  9. More than happy to: Usually the Saved Games folder resides in: C:\Users\(Username)\Saved Games. If you right-click on the folder and select Properties and then Location you have the option to move the entire folder to a new location of your choice. This is a very handy feature, because most people keep only system files on a C drive, and this stops your User Profile from growing too large. And of course, if the User Profile grows too much, it causes Windows to load up more slowly. I hope that this helps. Andrew.
  10. I know I've made a blunder here, and it's probably very easy to fix.....LoL. Recently with help from support (brilliant!) I made the move from the STEAM version of DCS 2.7 to the standalone version. Previously, I had also moved my "Save Games" folder from the default location on my C drive to the E drive which I have dedicated to DCS. When I made the change to the Standalone version, I then migrated the Save Games folder to the root of the new installation. Thus, I have two folders: DCS World Open Beta Saved Games. Within this folder is another folder named: "DCS Openbeta" with all of the usual folders for add ons. I get a feeling that I have just nested the folders incorrectly, and perhaps a folder move will just fix everything up. Can somebody advise me please? Many thanks, Andrew.
  11. Hi community, I just wanted to say a big thanks, not only to the community, but also to all of the support team here. You really helped me get over my issues with installation really quickly. It's great to be in such an awesome community. Andrew.
  12. Hi community, Not even sure if this can be done, but all advice is appreciated thanks. When I first purchased DCS, I purchased it via STEAM. I have to admit, I had a few issues and decided that I no longer want to use STEAM for any of my simulators. Problem is, at least here, I seem unable to unlink the two. To give some clarity, I was away from my computer / sims for over a year. I forgot my password for here, and also for STEAM. Finally STEAM rest my password, and I decided it would be easier for me to create an entirely new logon here, and on this forum. Problem is, when I go to unbind my STEAM account, I get the following message: "Specified Steam account is already already linked to another DCS account." ED Support staff have already deleted my old account here. Does anybody know if there is a way around this issue please? Many thanks in advance, Andrew.
  13. Really good to be onboard again community! Was stuck overseas for a year because of COVID. Away from my computer, so I have to learn DCS all over again!
  14. Good to be onboard.
