Copy & Paste Units and Groups Not Appearing

I seem to be having trouble trying to press ctrl+C on my keyboard to copy and paste ww2 bombers together after highlighting the bomber group.The only button that seems to work on the keyboard is the ctrl+V.Am i doing it right.
