I have regularly crashes to Desktop when selecting a data cartridge in the kneeboard. Often it happens after a first run, when creating a new route and loading it to the data cartridge, but today it was at the beginning right after entering the first route and selecting it on the kneeboard.  I had not the time to check the bug on another server than the Shadow reapers germany, but I will if interested.

This is a known issue and the team is already working on it. Partial fixes had been pushed already as well.

It happens on subsequent spawns and the exact conditions vary depending on DCS version and selected mission (for the coders: its so called "undefined behavior").

Today I had the same errors in multiplayer 4 times in a row. A crash on the desktop occurs after you press CTRL+SHIFT+C or CTRL+ALT+C in kneeboard. Map of Germany. I tried to create a route through the DCS F-10 utility, but there is no departure airfield. They just cost 0000.

I did this. I rebooted my computer, logged into the server, and created a route using the DCS F-10 functions. After that, I chose a plane, inserted the cartridge without using the Kneeboard, then dialed 9099 and the route appeared. Only all the WP became "M". My plane in the screenshot is in Spangdalem. And no route in Kneeboard.

I decided not to give up and logged into another server. It's also 4YA, but it's a map of Afghanistan. There is no such problem there. Everything works fine on the map of Afghanistan.

It is because the cause of the bug is whats called "undefined behavior".

It surfaces for you in a "random" (but deterministic) way and btw changes with each DCS update.
