Rhrich Posted Monday at 11:47 PM Posted Monday at 11:47 PM The headline is a play on «have you tried turning it off and on again?», but in all seriousness: Jester often annoys me because he can’t find targets that should be child’s play to find. However, I’ve found (or think I have) that he is considerably better if when I’m on the deck tells him to turn off the radar, and I’ll keep it that way until we are 15-20nm from the ship. its hard to know for sure, but I’ve run test on a few missions, and as far as I can tell he picks up and hold radar tracks significantly better if I do it that way. im sure that isn’t intentional, but bugs sometimes creep in even the smallest gap. Anyone else noticed this? Oh, and also, and this I haven’t tested, but he seems to preform poorer if the TCS doesn’t have an image. But that I’m not sure about. 1

If you find something fishy post a short track. There are many reasons Jester (or rather radar) won't show the target like wrong antenna coverage set, too small doppler shift, hiding in ground clutter, inappropriate search mode, too small RCS, etc. Also check DDD when you think it should show up on TID. May be there but not enough to build a track, etc. Give us a case. 1 Win10 i7-10700KF 32GB RTX4070S Quest 3 T16000M VPC CDT-VMAX TFRP FC3 F-14A/B F-15E CA SC NTTR PG Syria
