Gun Jam Posted July 29 Posted July 29 This morning I got an email saying its now in done with production and into final inspection. The first email said they expected the HMD to be done with production that week which was the friday the 25th. So apparently it's made it through the assembly line and at least functions well enough to be sent off for final testing. This testing phase has no ETA but they threatened to send an email once completed where they will verify my shipping address.. I'm curious how long this will be. 2

Marshallman Posted August 4 Posted August 4 (edited) Dear Valued Customer, Hello! Your ordered Crystal Super 50PPD has arrived in the destination country and is currently undergoing customs clearance. We will closely follow up during the process, and it is expected to complete clearance and be transferred to the local warehouse in 1-2 weeks. We will track the shelving situation upon arrival at the local warehouse and synchronize further shipment progress to you at that time. Thank you for your cooperation and patience! Dawgboy Posted August 7 Posted August 7 With the latest update about the Super 57PPD's unknown production date, I switched to the 50PPD Ultrawide Super. We'll see if I retain my original position in the ordering process, if it's "first come, first served". Gun Jam Posted Friday at 07:38 PM Posted Friday at 07:38 PM I got a message today informing me that its ready to ship. based on emails it took 3 days during the assembly period but 11 days to get through inspections. Not sure if it failed and they had to start all over or if inspections is a bottleneck. Asked if I wanted to keep the 50ppd unit and if my address was the same. It appears to be moving along... 2

I run my sound through desktop speakers but for when I was recording video I used wireless headphones. They fit very nicely under the OG and ditto with the Super (and perfectly comfortable too). 1 2

I was wondering if I can use my Bluetooth Bose earbuds for sound...just wondering if the mic will be ok with DCS-SRS/BMS-IVC; I'll have to test. I have an Arctis over-the-ear wireless set that works very well, but it has my TrackIR semi-permanently attached. It won't work with a VR headset. DMAS is "ok" I think. Better than the stock "speakers" at least. So I use them. I think the VR headset itself is heavy and warm enough, so I don't want to use another headset a top of the Super 1 System 1: Intel I9 13900K, ASUS ROG Strix GeForce RTX 4090 OC, 32 GB RAM@6000Mhz. Nuggetz Posted Monday at 05:16 PM Posted Monday at 05:16 PM The Super arrived today minus DMAS, they will arrive later. Ordered 12 Feb so one day short of 6 months to deliver. Early testing shows amazing clarity. I borrowed the DMAS from my original Crystal and that worked just fine. Still exploring software tweaks, but 90 hz produces best frame time over 72 hz. 1 2 Ryzen 9800X3D, MSI RTX 4090, 4 TB SSD, 64GB 5200 MHZ DDR5 RAM, MSI 670E Motherboard, Pimax Crystal.
