SspectrumM Posted June 12 Posted June 12 (edited) Since the last two updates of DCS, I have noticed a significant increase in processor temperature when playing multiplayer. The temperature in a single-player mission (after the latest hotfix) remains at the levels I am used to (75c), but in multiplayer, it has increased by around 15°C+. This happens regardless of whether you are the host or the client. It is important to note that temperatures do not rise above 90°C because the system itself does not allow it, and no other game generates those temperatures for me. I wonder, is this normal? Is this the new norm? Or am I missing something? Edited June 12 by SspectrumM
YoYo Posted June 12 Posted June 12 I have a similar impression. While the problem of high temperatures in single player has been solved, in multi I still see (although maybe not as high as it was before the hot fix) quite high CPU temperature. I have a quite simple monitoring system, which consists of LED signaling about temperatures. When I fly in single I have a blue light, which means "CPU quite cool", below 65C degrees, but in multi I have purple, which means temperature around 70-80C, something like that. For now I explain to myself that on the same computer I set up a server to fly with friends, so there are more processes than in single, but the temperature is definitely higher multi vs single. I don't know if this is a bug or the norm though.
