Flaps

Sometimes the flaps deploy and sometimes they don't. This is on the ground warming up. The flap lever moves but the flaps don't.

Anybody notice this?

I've noticed this in flight, but not on the ground.  Is it possible your engine RPM was down around 700-800?  I don't know if the flaps actuators are electric or hydraulic.  Seems like some electrical power drops off if the RPM is below 1,000 RPM.  This may be intentional to replicate the way the real aircraft behaves.  But I don't know.

In flight they seem to deploy to about 20, even when set to full down.  ...until your speed drops somewhere below about 120 knots or so, then they fully deploy.  I believe this is working as intended, and I assume as the flaps would on the real aircraft.  It might be an intended function of the real aircraft's flaps?  Partially to protect them from damage and partially to smooth out handling?  I don't know for sure, but I suspect that what they're supposed to do.  Or maybe I'm abusing them.

I just did a repair, removed all mods, tried again, no luck. Another thing that happens occasionally actually a lot main gear comes up, flaps stay down no matter the flap lever setting and the tailwheel stays down (hook up)

When I am sitting on the ground engine running, wings unfolded the flaps will not work. (sometimes, its intermittent) That should not happen.

Sometimes the flaps just before I start the takeoff roll the flaps, (I selected 20 ) by themselves go to full and after takeoff the gear retracts but the tailwheel stays down. Flaps will not retract using the retract handle.

Found the problem: Operator error. You must watch that you don't loose hydraulic pressure. Spreading the wing you loose hydraulic pressure. No hydraulic pressure flaps no workie.

I do think the hydraulic pressure is not working properly though. I think it looses too much on spreading the wings and doesn't recover the pressure quick enough.

I am certainly no expert on it maybe someone at Magnitude could just check it out.

So I've noticed that when the Cowl flaps are fully open I have this issue.  If they're closed, or mid position, the flaps, wing fold, and tail wheel work.  So to test this, start with the cowl flaps fully open, and attempt to spread the wings.  For me the wings get stuck.  I close the cowl flaps, and they spread as they should.  This is also the same when it comes to flaps and the tail wheel getting stuck down.

I am assuming that you are doing this after first starting the engine?
