v2tec Posted June 24 Posted June 24 Sometimes it is easy, sometimes it is hell... After many hours of flying the apache, I sometimes have problems with the FCR. Maybe somebody has an idea. - FCR is turned on - FCR is scanning and found target(s) - FCR locked / selected a target - I select the missile on the WPN-Page (I only have RF missiles) - The FCR says, missile not ready - why??? Normally it works, but I have no idea, why it doesn't in this case. I deactivated every weapon on the WPN-Page and reactivate it, BIT Tests are done with the missile. I restarted FCR, no success. I can fire the RF missile in TADS mode but not in FCR. I have a Screenshot, but it is not the best quality (made while using VR). You can see the target is selected on the FCR, but the RF missile is not highlighted / ready to fire (arm mode is active). Floyd1212 Posted June 25 Posted June 25 Two things to consider here. 1) Selecting MSL on the WPN page is not the same as Was'ing missiles with the Weapon Action Switch. You may have done so during your engagement, but didn't explicitly mention it in your description above. 2) More importantly, it doesn't appear that you have any RF missiles left to shoot. It looks like you have fired 4 missiles, and the 4 remaining on the rail are SAL laser-guided missiles.
Solution Ignition Posted June 25 Solution Posted June 25 The manual will give a lot of information you can't find on most youtube videos. I've learnt a lot by just reading the manual because I didn't understand some things. MSL NOT RDY No RF missiles have received an inertial alignment from the aircraft. A missile has not been selected in MAN mode. Ensure MSL PWR is set to ALL or AUTO to permit RF missiles to receive inertial alignment. Press the Missile Advance button to select the next missile in MAN mode. Page 508

That said, 2 appears to be in play. You'll definitely get a MSL NOT RDY indication if you have no missiles left of the selected type to shoot, and it appears those are all laser missiles. It's L for Longbow Hellfires, not L for Laser!
