Hey Pilots,

anyone got a Buyers Guide for Winwing HOTAS? I find the Variety a bit confusing

1. WINWING Orion2 HOTAS NavyAce

2.1. WINWING Orion2 HOTAS MAX NavyAce Metal Throttle Grip(With Finger lift)

2.2.  WINWING Orion2 HOTAS MAX StrikeAce EX II Metal Throttle Grip (With Finger lift))

2.3. WINWING Orion2 HOTAS MAX StrikeAce E Metal Throttle Grip (With Finger lift)

3.1.. WINWING Orion2 HOTAS ViperAce normal stick

3.2.. WINWING Orion2 HOTAS ViperAceEX stick

4. WINWING Orion2 HOTAS StrikeAce E/EX

Is there any significant difference between the Throttles? How do the Sticks compare:

1. "ViperAce EX Metal Joystick Grip(with Shaker Kit)"

2. NavyAce Metal Joystick Grip

3. ViperAce Metal Joystick Grip(None Shaker Kit)

I am confused. I mainly fly currently the Viper, but also enjoy the Tomcat and might fancy the Phantom. Is it worth getting the Viper-Hotas, or should i get the Orion 2? Navy Ace vs Max? And if Max: Which one? I have small Hands s/7 if that helps.

Any recommendations?  EX Throttle seems to "have it all", maybe too much? Which stick? Viper, ViperAce EX, NavyAce?

there is no such thing as too many buttons on your hotas... I have the WINWING Orion2 ViperAce(EX) Joystick Combo with shaker kit for that very reason, i fly it with every plane , including warbitrds and helos... you get less buttons withe the Navy Ace Joystick.

I have a different throttle, but i would go with the WINWING Orion2 HOTAS MAX StrikeAce EX II Metal Throttle Grip (With Finger lift)), as it has the most buttons... and good ergonomics, if i were going to go with something new today.  FingerLifts to me are mandatory as it is more able to reflect start up procedures and gated afterburning

There are two basic schools of thought, one is that you want to mimic the plane you fly the best, the other is that you get an ergonomic setup with as many useful buttons/switches/etc.

The issue with the former idea, is that you aren't going to mimic the plane properly unless you build yourself a full cockpit anyway. So I agree with @speed-of-heat to get the controllers with good ergonomics and lots of buttons.

Okey, guess I'll go with ViperAce EX Grip and Strike Eagle EX Throttle. Most Buttons and adjustable Hand Rest.

Yeah, the different schools explain the Buttonwise inferior Set Up. Like the normal Strike Eagle vs the EX or ViperAce vs the EX. The "non Finger-Lift EX Throttle" is currently not available with a ViperAce EX Grip in a Bundle.

Appreciated and fly safe 🫡
