WW2 Marianas can't get map to show on custom missions

i'm not sure if anyone else is having issues. but very time i create a new mission and select WW2 Marianas 

it always plays or shows the new map.  i have changed the date to 1944-1946. i have placed WW2 planes etc.

i have toggle the "clock icon"... at this point i don't think it works.

so i did a "quick mission" and it worked, but if i save that map and edit it...well its back to not working and showing the newer map.

 

not sure at this point what to do to create a WW2 Marianas map and fly over Guam etc.

Just to clarify, by "the new map" you mean the modern version of the Marianas map?  It's confusing when you're using that term because I would consider WW2 Marianas to be the "new" map because it's only just been released.

Are you talking about using Quick Action Generator or full Mission Editor? I don't know about the former, but I can confirm WWII version of the map saves and loads fine in the latter.

The Mariana WW2 map is a new download, separate from the original Marianas map, so ensure you have it before creating a mission.
