Have you excluded the core DCS folders in your Anti-Virus solution?

No, but it has never been a problem until this morning when I updated to latest version.  Is it a new requirement?  AVG is does not seem to complain about anything related to DCS?

Of course, no mods are present anywhere.

There have been numerous posts about server problems regarding Anti-Virus after the latest patch.

I did add the DCS World Server folder into the allowed Apps anyway, to no effect, unfortunately
Did you perform a repair after that? I forgot to mention it. But a repair needs to be done after adding the folders to the exclusions if the AV software has snagged some files.

I did, again, even though no files were quarantine.  Thank you for the suggestions though.
Right, can you post the crash logs? Maybe someone can find a clue.
Cheers!

Fresh clean installation Solve all issues.  I should have done it sooner
That's really strange as that's exactly what a repair does. Oh, well! Happy you solved it!

Yes, that's is what I thought but maybe my original installation was from a very old executable.  I was never asked what maps to install like this time!  Thanks for your suggestions, again.
