Gloopy Posted July 16 Posted July 16 Dear all I would be grateful if anyone could tell me if they are having the same problem. Latest steam version of dcs. F18 hornet. Supercarrier used. i13700k rtx4090. No over clock at present whilst troubleshooting Play a variety of single player campaigns (Baltic Dragon's) Totally normal frame rate all mission until land on carrier, and park. Get the little menu pop up that directs me to request take off etc. Click cancel. Dcs becomes a total stuttery mess after that. The only thing I've done differently is to update my bios to solve crashes on the Indiana Jones game I wonder if the post carrier parking stutter fest is a me problem or a game problem Grateful if anyone could confirm on their setup Thanks

Gloopy Posted July 16 Author Posted July 16 Thanks for quick response. Files below. Sorry, I don't know how to edit trackfiles. You will only need about the last 20 seconds of gameplay, really only when I am parked up and have clicked "cancel" in the popup box do the stutters start. dcs.log DxDiag.txt stutter after parking.trk
Shurik75 Posted July 18 Posted July 18 +1 And this has already been mentioned here Frame rate drop when parking menu appears
Gloopy Posted July 19 Author Posted July 19 I use TrackIR After further troubleshooting, I have found that if I run TrackIR as an Administrator, I don't get the stutters at all. If I don't run TrackIR in Administrator mode, the stutters come back. So, presumably something happening between the TrackIR software and DCS Hope this helps other people 1

It is preferred NOT to run DCS as admin because it can sometimes cause issues. If you're running DCS as admin, try making both it and TIR run NOT as admin. 1

Thank you No, I do not run DCS as an administrator.
Gloopy Posted July 20 Author Posted July 20 Arrgh! Running TrackIR as an Administrator is not the solution after all. I did this and ran DCS with a fairly longish night mission with the F18. Stutters started when I hit cancel on the parking menu. Back to square one.

I think this has fixed it. I will keep playing and let everyone know if the stutters persist
