And I can say that the FPS are different from the AC and the map. Since I have "updated" from a 7950X3D to a 9800X3D, I am completely CPU bound in VR. Even in 2D 99% of the time I am CPU bound. It could have somthing to do with an update, but I am not 100 % sure. I believe the 9800X30 is a very good CPU, but not good enough for DCS. Perhaps I will buy a 9950X3D. Every extra power/MHz will translate in "moar" FPS. My test maps are Afghanistan and Germany (Berlin) and the AC's are the F16 and the AH64-Apache. Try the Apache over Berlin, low level flying or the F16 Cold Start in Afghanistan. Do you always get 72 FPS in those situations? I don't have the Germany map. But I have the Afghanistan map. I fly mostly the F-16. I got the Apache too, but... never really tried it out My problem now is that my headset is at my cabin, far from where I live. I brought it there along with my PC to test and fly a little during our summer vacation. Norwegian summer = usually lots of rain and <profanity>ty weather. Then I went home here where we live, about two weeks ago, only for a weekend (that was the plan) before I was supposed to return to the cabin - but for several reasons I can not go back to our cabin yet... so. Here I am. Home. Where I have my F-16 "cockpit" and most of my flying gear. But no Crystal Super headset Hopefully I will get a chance to go pick it up later this week. I have read that the Germany map is more demanding, so perhaps stable over 72 fps over Berlin won't be possible. Don't know. The maps I have tested are Kola, Syria, Caucasus, Afghanistan. I have not installed latest DCS update. And I am on an earlier version of Pimax Play, and I don't have the latest Crystal Super firmware either. Since everything worked so well for me I was hesitant to do any Pimax upgrades... Now I have to wait anyway until I get my headset back here. I have multiple issues with DCS crashing that appear related to quadviews. Im using only quadviews within PP. I have uninstalled the openrx items. 1) without quadviews I get a pretty soil 35fps and DCS seems crash free. (im using syria instant action f14 takeoff from turkey the night one as a test) 2) with quadviews I get a pretty solid 35 fps or 60fps or 85 fps it just depends on how it feels during that launch I guess I cant find anything related to this not even resolution / global settings vs game settings. More resolution I get maybe 85 fps then i dial it back and I get 35 fps 2) with quadviews running like crap (35 fps) and settings low say 70% render resolution dcs wont crash or wont crash quickly. 3) with quadviews running great like 80-90 fps at 100 or 150% render resolution It usually crashes in a minute to 10 minutes or on final load screen just before you click "fly" or whatever with the background and cockpit visible behind that window. there is no consistency or obvious pattern to which outcome im going to get. Is there anything I can submit or provide you that could help isolate this issue? Have you seen Tallymouse’s video on the DCS × Pimax Crystal Super setup guide?
Gun Jam Posted yesterday at 01:55 PM Posted yesterday at 01:55 PM I have. Someone on the crash section of this forum provided me with some tips. Ill let you know if they help. SO far it seems improved....

They tried a bunch of things like SLAM files and the tech looked at some logs, we tried a different DP port and lastly I uninstalled the NVidia driver using DDU and reinstalled the latest one. Using DDU to reinstall might have helped a little, but I still get jitters, both in DCS and in Pimax Home. I don't know, maybe this is acceptable to some, but it is not to me. I want to be able to look around without any jitters. It really breaks the immersion for me. Another suggestion was to roll back to some previous Nvidia driver. There are tons of them. I don't have time to try them all out. I tried two different ones. No luck. Their last idea was for me to take another look at my room setup. I have done all that before. Different amounts of light, different lamps, I looked through the passthrough and switched off everything that blinked or flashed (thanks for the tip I got here). I disabled all RGB lights on keyboard, mouse and computer. I tried different monitor resolutions. I tried covering the monitor. I set up big QR codes to give the algorithm more to track. Nothing. Same room, same setup, Quest 3: flawless tracking. Sorry Pimax, your SLAM algorithm needs to step up. It is not working for me, and I'm not the only one. I really want the Super to work. But it's unacceptable @Calvin.Pimax Do you have any idea when the new pimax Play will come out? 1
