M10 (The Raid) - Wingman disappears while attacking stolen convoy (SPOILER)

Hey guys.

I failed mission 10 (The Raid) while attacking the stolen convoy in their war to Raqqa.

My wingman (Shadow, in 305) made the attack with the two Mavs and after that tried a gun strafe, pulled up and called "Mayday Mayday!" and gone. Got a mission fail.

After checking on TAC View file, he just disappeared. Check on the attached capture (2 hours, 2 minutes and 36 seconds into the mission).

Thanks @paloncho. Yes, unfortunately, this would be a bug relating to DCS wingman behaviours and is not something we can control in the missions.

This may have been a one off, but if you often have odd issues with the wingman, common causes may be unlicensed third-party mods installed (not including SRS or Open Kneeboard) - see Common Issues and Bugs section. Common mods like Viacom and even Tacview (sorry) are known to cause some issues in campaigns.

If the problem persists, you would still be able to complete the mission for example by letting wingman engage with Mavericks and then order it to rejoin.

Hello @Nix Mills. Thanks for your prompt response.

I have no 3rd-party mods installed, only SRS. I had no issues at all in any other mission and you're on point, I was thinking flying it again and ask him to re-join after shooting both Mavericks.

I'll test it again and let you know!

Had the same experience yesterday. We were both attacking the convoy, as i was aligning myself for another maverick Shadow called "mayday mayday" and i got the prompt that my wingman died and the mission failed.

I don't have any mods installed (VoiceAttack only).
