ASW Posted Wednesday at 09:41 PM Posted Wednesday at 09:41 PM (edited) Looking at the "Cold War Germany" map from Ugra Media in the DCS simulator, I thought that during the Soviet era there were some kind of landfills. I went to Google and it immediately gave me the Magdeburg training ground. There were no coordinates, but there were memoirs of those who served there, indicating nearby villages. Thanks to this, I quickly found the polygon on the map and it turned out that it is implemented in DCS. Using the DCS editor, I created a small training mission for the Mi-24 helicopter. The mission was originally planned for the Mig-21, but new ideas emerged during the creation process. I will add the mission for the Mig-21 tomorrow. There were new ideas and problems with free video processing. The program allows you to make a video for free for no more than one minute. You have to make pieces and then connect them online, and it takes a very long time. Actually, this is the first time I've done such a video in my life.) If you like the mission, write your ideas and suggestions for improving the mission. Initially, there is no one at the training ground. You activate what you want via the F-10 radio menu. All the groups are standing there, they can even be destroyed, but in order for them to start moving, activate them through the F-10. menu.I recommend activating Blue Platoon, Red Platoon and waiting for the battle to develop. The enemies will be distracted and it will be easier to attack them. You will get a picture of the fight, just like in the movies. There are 4 more Leopards in ambush. You can activate them at any time using the F-10 Leopard start. You can activate, for example, only trucks (Truck start). I even flew to this training ground on the I-16 and I really liked it. There are Mig-21s on your left. They can be activated via the radio menu at any time and they will fly to the training ground to help you. There are 2 JTACs working on the training ground, they will help you by marking targets with white smoke. Magdeburg Training Ground Mi-24P REL_.7z Edited yesterday at 12:21 AM by ASW 1 GreyCat_SPb
ASW Posted yesterday at 05:06 PM Author Posted yesterday at 05:06 PM This mission is a continuation of the previous one on the contrary. Here you are flying a Mig-21, and you will be assisted by a Mi-24. Initially, no one fires or shoots at the training ground. You can activate the group you want or all at once via the F-10 radio menu. I recommend activating Blue Platoon, Red Platoon and waiting for the battle to develop. The enemies will be distracted and it will be easier to attack them. You will get a picture of the fight, just like in the movies. You have enough fuel, but only 2 rocket volleys. Fly around the range and look for a convenient target to attack. Your unit can be ordered to attack ground targets at any time. When the wingmen run out of ammunition, send them further along the route (Follow Route). They will refuel, suspend the missiles and fly to the test site again. There are Mi-24s on your right. This is my first video experience. Thanks, I'll try! I downloaded Movavika Video, it's a Russian editor. It said it was "free with restrictions." But I found out about the fact that you can only take one minute at the very end.) And Movavika Video, they don't sell the program, they sell a subscription for a year for $ 30. GreyCat_SPb
ASW Posted 2 hours ago Author Posted 2 hours ago I found a landfill in Germany. It is called the Bergen-Hohne Training Area. In the near future, we plan to file a mission for the F-4E and SA-342. I will add the possibility of using the F-16C, AH-64D and CH-47F. For example, the landing of troops behind enemy lines on a CH-47F under the cover of F-16, AH-64D. All units on the training ground, as in the previous mission, will be of a "random" level. In order for the mission to always go differently and be unpredictable. It will also be possible to summon different groups of allies and opponents through the radio menu. There will also be hidden enemy groups that can be activated during the battle, depending on the development of the situation. I made a short video today from the Bergen-Hohne Training Area.
