rbapon Posted August 15, 2009 Posted August 15, 2009 I recently reinstalled my USA/English version of DCS Black Shark and applied the 1.01a patch. Before I start tinkering with the Russian voice files that were made available for the English 1.00 version I was wondering if anyone knew if those files would still be compatible with the latest and greatest version. My original installation was DCS Black Shark 1.00, the addition of the Russian voice soundpack, and then upgraded to 1.01 and then the 1.01a hotfix. This combination resulted in a game crash. So, I uninstalled the game completely and reinstalled with a fresh 1.01a complete patch. I'm just a bit wary of applying the Russian voice soundpack over the new version... Thanks! Griffin Posted August 15, 2009 Posted August 15, 2009 I see no reason why it would cause any problems. Backup the old sound files and install the Russian ones. If it really does result in a crash, then just replace the Russian files with the originals that you backed up earlier. Always remember to back up any changed files. This way you can always fix the problem.
