GrifterMan Posted August 16, 2009 Posted August 16, 2009 ok Im just getting into this game and got a new x52 to play with. but im having a problem with clibration. when I first get started everything is fine but after alittle bit of flying around the center points on the clibration start to drift. and I have to add more input to keep stright. the problem is compounded over time untill the aircraft just inst flyable cause I got the rudder turned all the way over and it still wants to turn the other way and I got the stick pushed half over just trying to stay level. so with all that Ive tried pulling the plug on the stick and plugging it back in that clears the calibration and centers everything again. but after alittle bit longer things start slipping back out of alignment.
JG14_Smil Posted August 16, 2009 Posted August 16, 2009 hello, Use RCTL Enter to see what is happening with your stick when you fly. Most likely a trim issue.

Yea, could be the trim causing the problem..but I have a x52 and the same happens to me..but can't remember what I did to fix that..I find the x52 spring load tension is not enough for heavy hand sticks..so just a bit of a bank wind up doing barrel rolls...lol...getting better with the light touch now .. Just purchased a Thrustmaster Cougar..can't wait to get it... :pilotfly::joystick: PS: Oh Yea, try an avoid using the twist on the stick for rudder control...if you use it too much in one direction the stick will tend to stay that way and you have to fight it off during flight.. www.virtualtuskegeeairmen.com
Kurtz Posted August 16, 2009 Posted August 16, 2009 Try the "trimmer reset". Also I did find that with the new trimmer system it was very important to recentre both cyclic + pedals after trim input otherwise cyclic control can be lost until trimmer is reset.
GrifterMan Posted August 17, 2009 Author Posted August 17, 2009 ok been messing around with the trimmer and auto pilot functions. with mixed results. trimmer will correct the slow corruption of the heading with the stick but dosnt do anything for the rudder issues. and trying to use autopilot heading control throws the choper into a hard left rudder turn that I have to hold rudder all the way right to fly stright. even with turning autopilot off it still holds the hard left turn. even tried to pull the usb plug and plug back in and it holds that hard left. so stuck there. trying downloading different profiles figuring that might be the issue see what I can find. thanks for the help.

Its not a profile issue..its a stick issue You just reminded me, how I fixed the rudder issue..in control panel, goto deadzone..and place the deadzone all the way to the ends..from center out...that will eliminate the constant turning if I understand you correctly..thats what I did ...while I flew found my jet tend to drift to the left once I created the deadzone no more drifting...:pilotfly::joystick: I have Saitek Rudder pedals..for rudder control so don't need the sticks rudder control setup Edited August 17, 2009 by Bearitall www.virtualtuskegeeairmen.com
