Night Flying in the Pimax Crystal Super

So I finally sorted out my speaker problem on my Super (turns out the DMAS speakers that shipped with my unit are defective... sigh) anyhow I'm now 8 days away from needing to make the decision as to whether I'm keeping the Super or not.

Coming from the Reverb G2 I was hoping the local dimming on the Super was going to make for a much better experience flying at night... my initial experience has not been great though.

Launching the F/A-18 Case III recovery mission and the F-16 Night Free flight mission I have to say - at least on my unit - flying at night is a literal kaleidoscope of colors in the clouds.  I tried to snap a picture of what I'm seeing on my phone through the lens....  I see REDS, PURPLES, BLUES... it looks.. well terrible and completely unrealistic.  Is this what everyone else is seeing?  Is this the Chromatic Aberration effect I've heard about? or might this just be a case of a poor set of screens?  Or am I crazy...

Wow...not what I would expect, simply because some of the Pimax Super's demo videos showed crystal-clear night flying, albeit in other simulations.

The only time you have too much fuel is when you're on fire.
