Help making an Tu-22M Anti-Ship Attack

I was wondering if anyone can teach me how to create a mission of a Tu-22M:
1. Take off from Airbase A from a parking spot

2. Attack a ship

3. Land at the same base

I have tried but for the life of me, I can't get it to engage the ship. It always seems to not engage the target. It just flies back to base.

Koka map has a ORBX 3rd party map, no a ED map, the IA problems, has none to do with a map building.

Your mission seems to have two problems:

- Too much speed. The AI logic somewhere decides it doesn't have enough fuel for what you're asking so it aborts the mission and lands on the nearest base available. Reducing speed to a more comfortable .76 Mach seems to make the AI happier.

- Initial attack point too far from the target. Even when you check the "visible" option, so the TU-22M is technically seeing the carrier, somehow it decides it's too far to engage. It's very frustrating because there's no feedback from the AI, so you don't know why it's not doing what you want it to do. Just trial and error.

I just set a lower speed for the TU-22M and put waypoint 3 around 50miles from the target. 

Test how it goes.

So the idea is to not just assume something is broken because someone said so - work the problem and try to figure it out for yourself!

The major issue was the combat radius. Tweaking the speed, route and having the bomber start searching before the attack waypoint like your test mission, I got it to launch at max range. It would be cool feature to provide a dynamic fuel amt at every waypoint.
