Antiguedad Posted 9 hours ago Posted 9 hours ago The lights above Engine Test Regulator buttons won't light if I press them. I don't know if this is a bug or if this test is not modelled. Thanks a lot.
Akiazusa Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago In my memory it's modeled. I think the test button only lower the "protection kicks in" threshold a bit, u still need a relative high power to get that light on(like .in normal operation the light comes on at 100% red line temp, but with test button pushed it comes on at 80% red line temp) I can't find test procedure of it for mi-8 in any manual. But here is the procedure for ka50,which uses a similar engine,I remember on mi-8 it's similar. Quote GG and PT EEG tests These functions allow you to test the operation of the GG channel of the EEG as follows: • Raise the cover and set the “EEG GG TEST” switch to the “GAS GEN” position.(It's a switch on ka50 instead of 2 button) • Move the throttle lever of the tested engine to the upper limit (max). (u may want to move the other engine power setting to idle to avoid accidentally lift-off during the test) • Increase the collective pitch until the rotor RPM drops to 86…87%, on the overhead panel the “LH POWER SET LIM” or “RH POWER SET LIM” yellow lights will illuminate.(It should be the light above the test button on mi-8) • The GG RPM should be set at 4% below the estimated maximum value. Set the “EEG GG TEST” switch to the operation position (down) and close the cover and the LEFT ENG PWR LIMIT or RIGHT ENG PWR LIMIT yellow lights should go off. Caution! Do not increase the engine’s power above lift-off value. The wisdom of tearmoon empire.
