Based on the Chinooks I've seen, and all the photos and video, when a rear gunner is operating on a CH-47, the ramp is normally around the "horizontal" position as opposed to the "down but without the tongues" that is current in DCS..This ramp down position also makes landing difficult without ramp striking, which is not the normal case in actual 'Hook operations. So I have 2 questions:

1: why is the ED implementation in the "ramp down/no tongues" position ?  and,

2: Can we have something more accurate?

Another thing to note is when the A/C is flying in the air, without a ramp gunner (in DCS), you can put the smaller ramps/boards down (I don't know what they're called) if you go to the final ramp "down" stage. These flip out to allow for smoother loading of equipment on the ground, but they wouldn't be used in the air. Ever. Just the ramp itself. But in DCS you can flip them all the way down, even in flight.
