If we have helicopter sling load physics, why can’t we have it for the arresting wires?

I’ve been spending a lot of time in the CH47 recently and one thing that has stood out is how good the physics of the sling load cables is (at least when connected to a heavy object).

Why can’t we have that for the SC’s arresting wires?
