Minsky Posted 22 hours ago Posted 22 hours ago 1. Dessau and Spangdahlem have the same ICAO (EDAD) 2. Garz and Hahn have the same ICAO (EDAH) 3. Merseburg and Zweibrucken have the same ICAO (EDAM) 4. Bad Durkheim has no ICAO (should probably be EDRF) 5. Not quite sure that Altes Lager's ICAO is correct (DAMN) Dima | My DCS uploads
Volator Posted 9 hours ago Posted 9 hours ago This is in part because Ugra mixed pre- and post 1995 revision ICAO codes. If they really want this to be a Cold War map, then the East German airbases and airfields should not have ICAO codes at all, and the West German airbases should have their pre-1995 ICAO codes. Just as an example, Buechel AB was EDSB before 1995, nowadays it is ETSB (T being the denominator for all military airbases in Germany post 1995) and EDSB is Saarbruecken today, but in the sim they use ETSB. Also, the layouts especially of the East German airbases are much closer to their today's layouts than to Cold War. I'm not gonna scold Ugra for the map, I really like it, but there are quite a few inconsistencies in that aspect. 1 1./JG71 "Richthofen" - Seven Eleven

Agreed. If they really want this to be a Cold War map, they shouldn't have set the default date to 1999 to begin with. 6 hours ago, Volator said: I'm not gonna scold Ugra for the map, I really like it, but there are quite a few inconsistencies in that aspect. Apparently, according to their sources, several aerodromes in Normandy also had ICAO designators back in 1944 Dima | My DCS uploads
