flare2k17 Posted 5 hours ago Posted 5 hours ago When starting the 29 i usually don't use ground power but instead turn on my apu like in the mi 24. I've seen other people just using battery power to start up the whole plane. Does the apu have any effect on how the plane actually starts up?

CrazyGman Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago Speaking of startup. I tried flipping all the switches at once using the master lever that allows all switches to be flipped in one go, but my gyros' wouldn't align properly if I did that. When I did the procedure normally as per wags video everything worked fine, but I'm wondering why it then has that master lever to flip all the switches at once if that cause the startup to not work properly

I use the cage always and never had issues. Have you disabled main power switch for main gyro as Wags did in video tutorial? If you had, don't do that anymore. It creates gyro problem and INS alignment is busted. Instead use main - stby gyro mode on navigation panel to check if stand by gyro holds same heading.
