Ghostrider 147 Posted October 19 Posted October 19 Hi all! I've been flying around on the CW Germany map and I've really been enjoying it. For me it runs pretty great, but I do notice a slight performance issue. Generally after take off I notice a number of big stutters/freezes, as if something was loading in as I gain altitude. After these stutters are gone, everything is running smoothly again. On other maps (Syria, Sinai, Marianas...) I do not have this issue. I did some reading online and I figured this could be because I only have 32 GB of RAM memory, as opposed to 64 GB which I see is starting to become the norm for DCS. I was wondering if anyone else is seeing similar things running only 32 GB of RAM and if this issue is fixable by upgrading my RAM to 64 GB. If so I'll be getting my PC a welcome upgrade It's just a general question, so I don't have a track/recording, but I can attach one if needed. My PC's specs are in my forum signature. Thanks! 1 CPU: i5-13600k // GPU: RTX 4070 // MoBo: B760-PLUS // RAM: 32GB DDR5-6000 // Stick: VKB Gunfighter Mk. III with SCG grip // Throttle: VKB STECS Mini // Pedals: VKB T-Rudder Mk. EVdW-Vamp Posted October 20 Posted October 20 I have the same problem, usually I get 98 to 120fps with all settings at maximum. but also have only 32gb of ram. my system is from March this year with ner 9800x3d, rtx5080 and 2tb ssd. it would be interesting to know if the problem is solved with it.
- Sonic - Posted October 21 Posted October 21 (edited) Same problem: During an online test session on CW Germany's multiplayer maps, we all noticed a performance drop (stuttering, etc.) after about an hour. 10 players and about 800 ground objects saturated the server's RAM. Only when starting (loading) the map/mission did CW Germany reach at least 19-20 GB of RAM. Edited October 21 by - Sonic -
Max Thunder Posted Saturday at 08:33 PM Posted Saturday at 08:33 PM With my 64GB no issues, so this could be the problem. 12700k | 3090 | 64GB DDR4 | WD SN850X | Quest 3
