Pilotasso Posted October 25 Posted October 25 (edited) but you already have some scheduled for delivery. Gripen is adequate for Ukraine and sweden, I dont see it for Canada. Best jet outside of F-35 (or any other american jet) would be Eurofighter tranche 5, and that would likely not serve for the next 30 years (gripen even less). If further F-35 deliveries are cut down from the initial 88 by the powers that be, then several years down the road I fully expect a Canadian U-turn to the F-47 and no longer to the F-35. Reasoning being shall not be discussed here but lets just say that attention focus should soon shift to the pacific. Edited October 25 by Pilotasso 1 .
Dragon1-1 Posted October 25 Posted October 25 (edited) Assuming the F-47 itself doesn't end up on the cutting room floor, that is. The F-35 might very well end up the mainstay for years to come, expanded and updated with new tech as it comes. Its development program was over time and over budget, but it's shaping up to be the 5th generation workhorse in vein of the F-16. Edited October 25 by Dragon1-1 1
