DCS mission editor, cannot see WWII planes on modern maps

I have been enjoying creating my own WWII missions on modern maps like Kola and Germany CW, the reason I bought those maps was to create WWII missions.

Now I try to create a WWII mission and the drop down menu does not show WWII planes anymore.

Is this a bug (I hope) and not intentional.

Is there a workaround to make WWII planes work in modern maps?

Maybe your historic filter got reset to enabled after latest update?
