sharkfin61 Posted November 9 Posted November 9 (edited) As is contains a 32-bit microprocessor with 48 MHz speed and more memory now, I could imagine, it might bring some relief to slow display screens and such. Any experiences? And most of all, will DCS-BIOS still work with it? UNO R4 Edited November 9 by sharkfin61 Loads do it on the fly! Vinc_Vega Posted November 15 Posted November 15 No experience yet. But as it is a completely other microprocessor, it may work over an USB connection and not via the RS485 bus. Regards, Vinc Regards, Vinc real life: Royal Bavarian Airforce online: VJS-GermanKnights.de [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
sharkfin61 Posted November 15 Author Posted November 15 (edited) Thank you for your answer, @Vinc_Vega Maybe I'll give it a try for a display, then. I think RS485 isn't a matter for me anymore, I switched my planning and bought some more Leo Bodnar BBI32/64s and BU0836Xs for the most knobs and switches, potentiometers and rotary encoders. Mainly for the flexibility, to program them for other aircrafts, I fly. So, only a few displays and lights are left for Arduino --> USB connections. ATM I'm about to connect all panel lights to my PCU 12V rail, if time permits, I'll see a silver lining at my simmer horizon at the end of the year. Not being able to fly for over 2 years now really sucks. Edited November 15 by sharkfin61 Loads do it on the fly! Biggus Posted November 17 Posted November 17 (edited) Uno R4 is becoming cheaper now. There's also a WeAct Studio board that should work with Arduino IDE using the same microcontroller. They do look interesting, but I've mostly gone for Picos lately. The Nano looks good but is still a bit on the expensive side. Edited November 17 by Biggus
