masonmac9514 Posted Sunday at 09:56 PM Posted Sunday at 09:56 PM The quick action generator is nice, but it lacks so much of what made the instant action generator great. The quick action generator when compared to the instant action generator misses out on large scale operations true randomness and the ability to take your mission, generate it then quickly pull it up into the expanded mission editor. I think I see that the approach with the quick action generator is to make people move towards the full mission editor but I think it discourages it and with the quick action generator what you can do is sooo limited, for what reason can I not have a ground attack mission and have the threat of enemy aircraft? why can I not play as CAS and protect friendly units? this was all possible long ago when the instant action generator was around so what has changed that we now have such limited options, there is less customization and a lack of a connection to the mission editor when the instant action and mission editor coexisted and worked together as a system. I believe that even just a quick button to pull up your generated mission in the editor would vastly enhance the user experience and allow for more creative unique battles without having to start from scratch even just letting players create a small mission to build off of. The addition of several presets almost, we already have but what about a mission option which lets you choose enemy aircraft and friendly aircraft and ground units all at once? 1
Exorcet Posted Monday at 02:30 AM Posted Monday at 02:30 AM I'm not on the latest DCS version for a few reasons, but if the QAG doesn't allow importing into the ME that is a fantastically large oversight and loss of capability compared to the Fast Mission tool. 1 Awaiting: DCS F-15C Win 10 i5-9600KF 4.6 GHz 64 GB RAM RTX2080Ti 11GB -- Win 7 64 i5-6600K 3.6 GHz 32 GB RAM GTX970 4GB -- A-10C, F-5E, Su-27, F-15C, F-14B, F-16C missions in User Files
