Gundo Posted Monday at 03:05 PM Posted Monday at 03:05 PM I've done Mission 11 6 times and have yet to make it out of the melee intact. I watched videos of others who have done this mission and they are able to fly around without much difficulty and get kills and the Spits tend to do very well in taking on the more numerous bandits. My last mission attempt where I actually got a confirmed kill and then got sprayed by a bandit with seemingly unlimited ammo until he hit my engine...I bailed out and watched the show from my chute....it was hliarious...I saw spits being pursued by 5 bandits...we were so outnumbered as things advanced. Once I left the mission, the spits had lost 22 of 24 and the bandits just half of their number. Note that my flight and Max a/c were all attacking as ordered. AI activity was nowhere near that intense or effective in the older videos I saw. I know the AI behaviour is not controlled within the campaign but I wanted to know if anyone else who is a late comer to the WW2 warbird campaigns have noticed this. Will finish this off but looking forward to tipping my toe into the multiplayer world and fly against real people. I do absolutely love the campaigns tho and appreciate the tremendous effort that went into building these historic missions. Cheers!
Reflected Posted Monday at 11:19 PM Posted Monday at 11:19 PM Throughout the 5 years it's been released it's changed a lot. Sometime the spits were massacring the doras, sometimes the other way around. ED always denies any change in the AI, and I can't replay the mission after every update then re-adjust the skill levels. BTW 80% of the doras are 'trained' or 'rookie'. Anyhow, you need to fly a lot more defensively in such large furballs than you'd think, and know when and how to bug out.
