A while ago, I experienced occasional freezes in the game's scrolling during flight. Every 5 to 6 seconds, the game would freeze for half a second, and this would happen continuously on all maps and with any device. Then it disappeared as suddenly as it appeared, but it's started again in the last few days.

Before, I used OpenXR Toolkit, and now I use QuadViews Companion with my Quest 3. Which one is better to use? OpenXR Toolkit or QuadViews Companion? Which one performs better?
Thank you for your help.🤔

Depends. What were you using the Toolkit for? You also mention just the Quad Views Companion app. You were installing Quad-Views-Foveated and turning it on in DCS as well right?

Quad Views will reduce load on the GPU, but will increase it on the CPU. So yes, Quad Views can be more performant, and is for a lot of people (especially eye-tracked headsets), but it depends on where your bottleneck is as well.

Occasional freezes (and stutters as well) can be due to numerous reasons, especially when they are occurring at a regular interval. Providing your DCS log file may help identify the cause. Preferably from a game where you experience this (the log gets overwritten each time you start up).

No DCS.log file, without the old one?

I didn't understand your question.

That's really strange. Is there a "DCS" file? Maybe file extensions are turned off.

Correct!

First you can try to disable the Hypervisor in your BIOS, while I'm not sure how much that helps.

Then, you should definitely set your Pagefile manually to 32768MB.

Also, you have tons of mods errors!
You can try to disable all mods and perform a repair, and also disable/remove all mods in Saved Games, as a repair won't touch Saved Games.

Lastly, some files loads a little slow it seems. Have you excluded DCS in your Anti-Virus solution?
If you have have not, it might help load times, ad make DCS a little more "snappy".

Cheers!

No, I haven't excluded DCS from my antivirus (Defender).

As for the swap file, I'll do that (but what I find strange is that I had set it to 32768 and now it's not). Anyway, it must have changed its settings on its own. I'm going to disable all the mods and do a repair as you advised.
Thank you for the help you gave me, MAXsenna (I appreciate it).
Just one more question, or your opinion! What's the best mod for the Quest 3? Quadviews Companion?
Or OpenXR Toolkit?
Because the two don't work together.
Thanks in advance.😉

Hi, Pluton.

Unpark your cores to see if the issue goes away.

This is a good source, but there are others around the web. Once and done thing:

Max pointed out at "Hypervisor". I get the same warning but no periodical stutters here. Just the parked cores warning I don't have on my logs because I did the procedure on the video above.

How can I disable the "Hypervisor"?

However, I couldn't do it like in the video because when I copy (the string he indicated in the video description), I don't get the same lines as him. I only have the first line in Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Power\PowerSettings, and I don't have the ValueMax line where he says you have to double-click to enter the value 0.

SO I'M STUCK

I'm not on VR, so I can't help you there.

The Hypervisor can be disabled in your computer's BIOS.

Cheers!

Thanks anyway for your replies.
I disabled hypervirtualization in the BIOS, then I set my cache to 32768, but it changed absolutely nothing. I still have these micro-gels that are ruining the flight.😪

I'm still not convinced you can't unpark your cores. Have a look at that first.

Cap your frame rate to something bellow what you're getting average as last resort.

You can use the ParkControl software (https://bitsum.com/parkcontrol/) to disable core parking for all your power management profiles.

This log is massively spammed with the below message. Constant device plugging/unplugging can cause stutters:

2025-11-16 14:32:23.107 INFO APP (Main): Device plugged: [SWD] Wi-Fi
2025-11-16 14:32:23.177 WARNING WORLD (Main): ModelTimeQuantizer: SAME MODEL TIME
2025-11-16 14:32:28.315 INFO APP (Main): Device unplugged: [{5d624f94-8850-40c3-a3fa-a4fd2080baf3}] Microsoft Wi-Fi Direct Virtual Adapter
2025-11-16 14:32:28.480 WARNING LOG (43108): 1 duplicate message(s) skipped.
2025-11-16 14:32:28.480 INFO APP (Main): Device unplugged: [USB] TP-LINK Wireless USB Adapter

Is this an external device, or something on your motherboard? Looks to be USB device so make sure you:

  • disable Hotplug Devices in the DCS controls settings
  • plug devices into the usb ports on the motherboard and not the front of your case
  • use powered usb hubs for other peripherals
  • disable Power Management in your Windows Device Manager for your USB controllers

OK, but where do I find the DCS control settings?

OK, but I can't find power management in Device Manager!
Thanks in advance for your reply.

Hello and thank you for your explanations, Traineau.
Now I understand with your explanations (and everything is done).
Perfect.

As for searching online, I always do it before asking my questions on the forum, but the problem I encounter is that many people give explanations using computer terms that I have trouble understanding (I'm an old-timer), and I can tell you that it doesn't help.

In the meantime, thank you for your patience and your help, which was invaluable.
Take care and safe travels, my friend.🤗👍
