LaCiKa Posted November 18 Posted November 18 (edited) When is this going to be fixed? Crew can't be killed and it can survive a lot of Flak rounds, AAA, missile hits and other, it's becoming very frustrating in MP servers as of this example in my video, where ppl keep them selfs damaged on their base aslo as some sort of AAA as we can i see in my video, while knowing that they can't die and that way blocking us to force base in neutral so we can capture it.... Dangerzone Posted November 19 Posted November 19 It might be worth reporting the incident to the administrators of the server. I know it's not uncommon for some servers to have rules about exploiting known bugs, etc - and players who exploit such things can get a kick, or a temp ban, etc. Not saying that the bug shouldn't be dealt with - but it may be a quicker solution than waiting for a proper fix from ED - and as a creator myself - I know that I would want to be aware of such things if they were happening on my servers so I could deal with it accordingly instead of having community frustrated and drop off playing those sorts of MP missions. 1

Hi, the damage model is work in progress, I do not have any eta to share with you yet however. please when reporting issues add a short track replay example, I can ask the team to run it and check it, and use it as examples for damage testing. thank you 1 Forum rules - DCS Crashing? Genuinely trying to understand the process by which ED troubleshoots these things. We would’ve more than happy to help find answers if it means getting timely results. Edited 12 hours ago by Onslott

Genuinely trying to understand the process by which ED troubleshoots these things. We would’ve more than happy to help find answers if it means getting timely results. Because not all the time's it can be replicated by the dev's. Some people may find it's the same for them every time, but a different machine, different map, different variables, etc can make a difference. Maybe not in this case, but you don't know when it does until it makes a difference. Even if providing a track is the difference between dev's trying to replicate and failing vs succeeding first time only 1 time in 10 - it can still make a difference. Additionally - it also free's up dev's times to work on bugs instead of recreating the scenario's even if it's going to be reproducable first time. I dare say it's a combinations regarding economics of dev's time and putting that to better use, and ensuring that they are indeed able to replicate the issue from the track - and if not, compare the difference between the track file and their local systems to see what else could be causing the issue. There can be other 'log' entries too which could help shortcut the diagnostic for dev's that we're unaware of.
ED Team BIGNEWY Posted 2 hours ago ED Team Posted 2 hours ago Damage model needs work, we know it does, and it is on the list to do for early access. We ask for tracks when people report issues so we have a larger pool of data for testing, when we do do the damage model changes we can compare before and after. thank you Forum rules - DCS Crashing?
