AMRAAMs sometimes target single unit when volley fired at all units in group

see attached TACVIEWs and miz file 

fire on group of three, individually designate each unit in the group in TWS, fire 3x A120s, crank until pitbull, skate - all 3x A120s target single unit 

does not occur every time i fly the mission - but enough to warrant posting a bug report 

i just updated to 2.9.22.17790 this morning 

i don't have trackfiles unfortunately

This is likely correct behavior. All 3 targets are in very close lateral formation at near identical ranges from the perspective of the seeker in all 3 tacviews, this poses both a range and azimuth resolution problem at the same time. The amraam has a very wide main lobe (15 degrees) and does not have precise target discrimination. It's tracking a centroid of all 3 targets until either the targets separate when defending. Or the outter targets leave the seeker and are resolved out, leaving the middle target.

Now, heh, what level of childish tactic you must have to fire a volley of missiles first of? Oh..., I'm wrong, the missiles can NEVER confuse close targets! Some guys fight with reality and are convinced it's a bug=).

Of course not! Some of us flew the F-19 back in the 80s. We could sling missiles at different targets all day long, and they never missed.
