pauldy Posted August 31, 2009 Posted August 31, 2009 I'm just wondering what numerical values Represent the 4 seasons. If i'm correct day 001 corresponds to summer, then at day 365 It's summer again. I'm looking for the approximate Day number values representing Fall, Winter & Spring. Anyone have a knowledge on these values? Beats having a winter map while in a summer day. ..wished the Lock On had a Gregorian Calendar instead of day numbers in a given year~ :smilewink: [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
104th_Crunch Posted August 31, 2009 Posted August 31, 2009 Day 1 is June 22, 2004, Day 2 is June 23 etc.
pauldy Posted September 1, 2009 Author Posted September 1, 2009 So in effect, I'll have to count until i reach Day 366. Day 366 is June 21st right? (since 2004 was a leap year) I think want to make a calendar guide for this :) [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
104th_Crunch Posted September 1, 2009 Posted September 1, 2009 I would imagine the leap year is accounted for. I never use it much as you can set texture of season and tempurature for mission anyway. The days do model the moon phases, star locations, sun rise/set etc. though
pauldy Posted September 1, 2009 Author Posted September 1, 2009 I would like to utilize the in-game "calendar" though. It would add a nice touch having the sun in a slant angle whilst in a winter mission. I shall start counting the days later =D [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
104th_Crunch Posted September 1, 2009 Posted September 1, 2009 See attached. A simple txt file I made in Excel in a minute. Note, Day 366 is not June 21st 2005. Yes, 2004 was a leap year but the extra day was in Feb before Jun 21st 2004.LO Days.txt
Shaman Posted September 1, 2009 Posted September 1, 2009 You will you get shorter day time if you set for ex day 186.. at 17:00 hour you already have a quite nice sunset - just remember to change ground textures to winter :) 51PVO Founding member (DEC2007-) 100KIAP Founding member (DEC2018-) :: Shaman aka [100☭] Shamansky tail# 44 or 444 [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] 100KIAP Regiment Early Warning & Control officer
pauldy Posted September 3, 2009 Author Posted September 3, 2009 Sorry for rezing this up, Anyways, thanks for the Text File Crunch :) Saved it in my PC~ [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
Vekkinho Posted September 3, 2009 Posted September 3, 2009 You can download and install LoCFG, it's a small utility which allows many graphical customizations of LO/FC, sharpness, lod, mapping, HUD colors, camera angles etc and is available over at LOFiles. You can manage LOFC calendar with it! [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
pauldy Posted September 3, 2009 Author Posted September 3, 2009 I'm curious about the Calendar Feature. I have LOCFG installed. Will it really set the day to say.. September 3, 2009? or Lock On world is still stuck in circa 2004 to 2005? [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
Vekkinho Posted September 7, 2009 Posted September 7, 2009 I know what you mean, yes, it should set the sun and moon in the sky as it is on the exact date you select. Lock On world is stuck in late '80s or early '90s when talking weapons and vehicles. :P [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
pauldy Posted September 7, 2009 Author Posted September 7, 2009 I was wondering if it would be possible to recreate an eclipse. iirc, a solar eclipse occurred over the black sea last march 29, 2006. OT though, I think it's 80s for russian weapons then 70s for Western weapons ;) [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
