MTFDarkEagle Posted September 8, 2009 Posted September 8, 2009 Hi guys, I got used to the speed of my "old" CPU. So its time to buy a new one. Can anyone give an indication wether it will be a big difference in BS? My current is a AMD Athlon 64 X2 7750+ Black Edition Incoming: AMD Phenom II X4 955 Black Edition. Running on Windows Vista ultimate with 2x 8800GTX-OC. Regards, MTFDarkEagle Lukas - "TIN TIN" - 9th Shrek Air Strike Squadron TIN TIN's Cockpit thread
connos Posted September 8, 2009 Posted September 8, 2009 Check my signature. I had a huge improvement with my new cpu, used to have AMD 3800+ X2 as i also over clock it to 3.5 GHz default voltage (HT 2.4, NB 2,.4). I can now play with all graphics at full and in heavy combat i get minimum 25 fps. kiss4luna Posted September 8, 2009 Posted September 8, 2009 accouding to my previous tests, AMD 955 was over-run by even Intel i7 920 by 10-15fps in most games including DCS RTX 3070
MTFDarkEagle Posted September 8, 2009 Author Posted September 8, 2009 I figured as much kiss4luna, but I dont have the money to buy a brand new 1366 motherboard and a i7. Lukas - "TIN TIN" - 9th Shrek Air Strike Squadron TIN TIN's Cockpit thread
