VS461 Posted September 27, 2009 Posted September 27, 2009 Hi guys and girls, I am preparing for some IFR route with my Ka-50 but haven't find any coordinates to them. I took off on the airports which are interesting for me (Krymsk, Anapa and Krasnodar) and flew over the beacons, switched to F2 view and wrote down the coordinates. As I wanted to setup a route in the editor, coordinates didn't match, for example, Anapa RWY 04 near beacon is way south from the centerline if I want to place a WPT according to the read-out coordinates. Another problem that beacon sites aren't visible in the editor, so I cannot place a WPT accurately as I want. Any idea? Thanx in advance! Cheers! EvilBivol-1 Posted September 27, 2009 Posted September 27, 2009 There is a mismatch between the in-game coordinates and the ME coordinates. This is a known issue, but not currently fixable. - EB [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Nothing is easy. Everything takes much longer. The Parable of Jane's A-10 Forum Rules
VS461 Posted September 27, 2009 Author Posted September 27, 2009 OK, didn't know it. Thanks! Btw, I've just made a quick check in G***** Earth, that coordinates seem to be better:). Cheers! За всю историю никто и никогда не сумел завоевать Афганистан. Hикто и никогда
26-J39 Posted September 27, 2009 Posted September 27, 2009 You could try to make your flight plan in the ABRIS while in game and then save to ABRIS hard drive .. :book: This way you will be able to make pin point flight plans.. (In ME at top -> Flight -> Prepare Mission... or you can't save flight plan ) ;)
VS461 Posted September 28, 2009 Author Posted September 28, 2009 OK, I haven't started bother ABRIS deeply yet, but as I see it's high time to do something:D. Thanks За всю историю никто и никогда не сумел завоевать Афганистан. Hикто и никогда
26-J39 Posted September 28, 2009 Posted September 28, 2009 (edited) Well worth looking onto.. Then you can take coordinates from ABRIS and punch em into PVI...:smilewink: *Helpful link for ref: http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=41165&highlight=decimal Edited September 28, 2009 by 26-J39
Martillo1 Posted September 28, 2009 Posted September 28, 2009 One minute of arc at equator equivales to one nautical mile (about 1.86 Km), so one tenth of minute of arc is about 186 m. Maybe it is not enough for guiding a JDAM, or for precise navigation in autopilot between canyons, but for general purpose navigation is quite good. Vista, Suerte y al Toro! [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
