JG14_Smil Posted September 29, 2009 Posted September 29, 2009 Hello, I had to RMA my computer back to Alienware and my motherboard had to be replaced, rendering my copy of BS "illegal", leaving me unable to deactivate or activate my copy. Email was sent last friday with info and sorry to bother you on the forum, but I really miss flying (and I've been drinking...) :music_whistling: Happy Oktoberfest!
Tez Posted September 29, 2009 Posted September 29, 2009 I've sent the answer yesterday. It's very simple. Could you just activate the game as usually. Maybe the instructions will help you: http://www.star-force.com/support/users/group2.php#12 [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] =653=Tez
JG14_Smil Posted September 30, 2009 Author Posted September 30, 2009 (edited) Hello Tez, thank you for replying. I have received no answers here via email or PM at this site. I run 'protect.exe' and I try to re-activate my copy of BS. It says... Activation denied by server. This Deactivation Code has been already used for re-activation of the application. When I try the deactivate link and say "yes" I get the following message. Unable to deactivate the product license due to significant changes of the computer hardware configuration. Only valid licenses can be deactivated. To obtain an error report and send it to product technical support, press the corresponding button. When I try the "other method" link, I get the same above message after doing the procedure. Significant change of hardware was an unplanned motherboard change after the original failed. so, I cannot activate the game as usually. I have the error report if needed. ============= note: I have used my other copy of BS from a deactivated computer (I own two legal copies) to get me flying again. I would really like to get my denied copy back too though. thanks in advance. Edited September 30, 2009 by JG14_Smil
Tez Posted September 30, 2009 Posted September 30, 2009 You are trying to deactivate, not to activate. You sent me serial number with a deactivation code. To activate you need only the S/N. Remove the colon and everything after it. The remaining is your S/N. Deactivation code is underscored on the picture. BTW, deactivation code is obsolete in the latest StarForce version (the patch includes it). [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] =653=Tez
